Biography

Marco Toscano Rivalta holds a degree in law and a PhD in international human rights law. Lecturer at the Universities of Bologna, Siena, Roma e Trento (Italy) and the Johns Hopkins University.

2002-2004: Rule of Law Advisor, UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan

1999-2002: Head of Field Office, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Turkey

1999: Human Rights Officer, Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

1998: Fellowship at University of Geneva and at the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

1997: Election Supervisor: Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
