In the Drift of Love Really! Ask the kid wearing a Slipknot tee shirt Remember the Flowering Rose-Apple This coming age will be conditioned by the seventh ray, Aquarius and energies that are related to the air and to the ability to manifest spirit through form. This transition period between the ages, is ruled by the energy of Libra and by Uranus. It is helpful, therefore, to come to some semblance of understanding of this mysterious planet. Uranus is related to that which moves outside the bounds of time and space. It is magic and mystery and electricity. Uranus and the seventh ray provide a channel for the energy of the divine will and harness it in forms that allow the livingness to be revealed—forms that are pliable, supple and organic. Uranian energy dissolves the barriers of separation that have chained us to the wheel of life and frees us to build anew in conformity with divine Plan and Purpose. Through our thought we can create and eventually manifest that which has hitherto been the province of the mystics and poets who hungered after concepts that were considered impractical, revolutionary and vain. Today we stand on the verge of the precipitation of these visionary imaginings, upon the borderline of a new world that will, in many respects, be wholly different from that which bombards our senses at this time. Future generations will look back with disbelief at our short-sightedness and our materialism. The Buddha taught the uses of the mind to bridge the gap between the unreal and the Real through the state of union that is yoga, the yoke that holds all things together. He forged the antahkarana out of the substance of himself and brought down light from heaven. He became a conductor of electricity by taking himself in hand and through skillful means cutting away the egotism that caused the energy to be short-circuited. The Buddha destroyed the artificial barriers that hold us to the past and forged ahead into the eternal Now. He did this, he said, by remembering a childhood experience of pure joy that came upon him spontaneously while playing alone under a flowering rose-apple tree. He remembered the effortless sense of bliss that came upon him at that time when he was free and open and innocent. In turn he used that remembrance to free himself in the Now and went on to teach the way of release from suffering and bondage to all those who chose to follow in his footsteps and brought about the enlightenment of many in his day. He was not content with doctrines and formulas that didn't work and strove, within himself—depending upon himself alone—to tread that way that brought release. Let us use the beauty of this time, with the gifts of Uranus, to work like the Buddha, to remember our own flowering rose-apples and forge those alignments within consciousness that will transport us to the higher realms and bring down light to meet the need that exists all around us.
