Greet incoming registrants; handle registration paperwork such as forms, registration tickets, lunch tickets, money/checks/credit cards; give out registration packets, name badges and name badge holders.

Set up tables, set up displays and arrange items attractively, open boxes and store materials, verify titles and quantities from packing slips or invoices, write ID numbers and prices on sticky labels and affix to each item, be prepared to repeat all of the above and make adjustments in displays as new items arrive.

Bookstore or retail experience an asset; physical strength to move boxes of books and bend over tables; ability to work at high intensity, accuracy and speed; eye for attractive display; attention to detail; flexibility to accommodate others’ ideas and make changes; legible handwriting.

Take money, make change, record sales.

Organize and straighten tables of books and other items.

Sunday afternoon after lunch, dismantle bookstore displays, pack items in boxes, tape securely for shipping and affix address labels.

Ability to focus in very noisy and busy environment, attention to detail, able to ask questions, patience.

Build and maintain working relationships with Dobson personnel, catering personnel, Seven Ray board members and conference speakers.

Experience with organizing adult educational events or experience managing conferences; very organized; able to hold big picture (Ray 1 mind) and anticipate the details that have to be in place for a seamless event; totally available at all times; work well in groups; excellent communication skills; cell phone is helpful.

Number of Hours: 16 hours a day for 8 ½ days = 99 hours

Record sessions that have 4 microphones in use, keep written record of sections of presentations.

Experience with soundboards or VERY quick study; high comfort level with digital technology; punctual, organized, attentive to details; excellent people skills, good record keeping skills

(two different jobs – can apply for either or both)

1. Assist recording technician with recording keynote speakers.
2. Record breakout sessions in afternoon

1. Experience with soundboards or VERY quick study, high comfort level with digital technology; knowledge of mics, wires, buttons, etc very helpful; punctual, organized, attention to details; ability to anticipate needs; willingness to attend a breakout session they might not normally attend; patience, ability to be unobtrusive while moving around a room, stays calm, unflustered.

2. High comfort level with digital recording technology; excellent people skills; can work accurately and quickly; punctual; ability to act as‘host’ for the room and the speaker (welcome speaker, get mic on her/him, ensure room is prepared, etc).

: Assist with duplicating CDs for sale.

Comfort with CD recording technology; very organized, excellent record keeping skills; familiarity with Mac/iTunes and burning CDs, familiarity with memory cards, USB drives; keen attention to detail, EXCELLENT people skills in a busy environment

Sell lunch tickets, collect all lunch tickets, give accurate count to Ann, complete lunch numbers form daily.

Run miscellaneous errands during Conference

Needs car, Phoenix/Mesa native who knows area well, willing to miss a session or lunch if/when needed.

Assist with getting miscellaneous jobs done on-site, such as photocopying, etc.

Knows the site, efficient and effective, can solve problems with minimal supervision; good people skills.

Ensure signs for keynote and breakout rooms are changed and kept up to date, daily and hourly as needed.
