Michael Robbins Michael Robbins, PhD in Psychology, PhDE in Esoteric Philosophy. As co-founder and president of the University of the Seven Rays, Michael has persistently co-sounded and sustained the note for sponsoring USR/SRI conferences, now in their 20th year. As a long-standing teacher of the Ageless Wisdom through the study of the Seven Rays, Esoteric Astrology, Cosmology, and Rayology, he has inspired students worldwide, some of whom have gone on to form their own organizations to continue the spread of the Ageless Wisdom. The Path of Holiness
Keith Bailey Keith Bailey has been primarily a musician and composer, performing on drums and percussion extensively since the 1960’s throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA. Keith makes his debut performance with New York City’s One World Symphony Orchestra in April this year, under the direction of conductor Sung Jin Hong. His performances on “Temple Percussion” are well known throughout the USA and as a regular feature at the USR conferences since their genesis. Keith initially founded Fiery World Music in London in 1978, and then again in 1984 in NYC. In the late 1990’s he founded the NYC based choral-group, the Gandharvas. Keith has also been an active student of the Ageless Wisdom since the 1960’s and has emerged as a teacher, writer and speaker in the esoteric-student circuit, writing and speaking on a diversity of esoteric topics. His main preoccupation and dharma in this field since the 1970’s has been attending to a major reformation of Masonry, for which purposes he founded and constituted the Masonic Order, Grand Lodge, Ancient Universal Mysteries, [A.U.M.], (after having received training in conventional Masonry), and over which he now presides as the principle directing officer and which has since emerged as an international Masonic Order, having branch Lodges in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. A.U.M. admits both men and women to Masonry on an equal basis to meet the Aquarian Masonic quest for the restoration of the Mysteries to outer service. |

Agni Yoga: The Way Into Shamballa Agni Yoga is an essential part of the Ashramic training currently given to accepted disciples in preparation for the second and third initiations that opens the doors to Shamballa. The goal of the training is to develop the intuitive sense of synthesis and become sensitive to group telepathic impression. Agni Yoga--the Practice of the Monadic Presence--wields the burning, purifying, destructive power of the monadic will to simplify circumstances in the sacrificial life of the accepting disciple. Fire burns (transforms), purifies (transmutes), destroys (transfigures). Poverty, philanthropy and applied goodwill in the light of the esoteric teachings: Global Resource Alliance, a case study in East Africa This presentation offers a brief review of what the esoteric teachings have to say about poverty, and the role of disciples in its alleviation. Lyn and Tara will share a short personal history of their work in East Africa through Global Resource Alliance (GRA), and the roots of their motivation in the esoteric teachings. A 20-minute DVD will show some of the projects GRA is funding in the Lake Victoria region of Tanzania to promote natural, holistic and sustainable solutions to the challenges of poverty, malnutrition and disease. GRA is currently focusing much of its attention and resources on a rural East African community called Kinesi Village. Like many small villages in the region, average per-capita income is less than 50 cents a day. The Kinesi Project is GRA's small contribution to meeting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which aim to halve the number of people in the world suffering from abject poverty, hunger and lack of access to clean water and basic sanitation by the year 2015. Tara Maria Blasco, Ph.D. Tara Maria Blasco holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialty in prenatal and birth psychology from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. A native of Spain, since 1987 she has participated in several groups involved in the study and application of DK's teachings, including the former European Center for Initiation in Spain and the European section of the Arcane School. She presently lives in California with her husband Lyn Hebenstreit. Together they run Global Resource Alliance, an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and a life more abundant to impoverished communities in the Lake Victoria region of Tanzania. Tara is completing her teacher training in Nature of the Soul, and along with her husband Lyn operates the Ojai Wisdom Center, which provides classes in the esoteric teachings, including a Treatise on Cosmic Fire study group, Nature of the Soul study groups, and classes facilitated by Michael Robbins and other esoteric teachers. Tara also works as a counselor for families, is a craniosacral therapist and a director of the BEBA clinic, a center for family therapy in Santa Barbara and Ojai. Lyn Hebenstreit Lyn Hebenstreit is a long time student of the Ageless Wisdom. He began teaching Transcendental Meditation in the early 1970’s and since the mid 1990s has been facilitating study groups in Nature of the Soul and the books of Alice Bailey.Before founding Global Resource Alliance in 2002, he pursued a career in finance and accounting. Death: The Great Adventure: Well Beyond the Indigo Door, the White Island Beckons
In 1993, Robert began compiling Understanding Death: Similarities between the Near-Death Experience and the Esoteric Process of Dying, which evolved from a 300-page manuscript into a 5-hour seminar, and is being transformed into a visually-inspiring Power Point presentation. This conference presentation is an abbreviated version, including insights into Shamballa. We will examine the Process of Withdrawal from the perspective of both the Near-Death Experience and the Esoteric Process of Dying. Our adventure in the Art of Abstraction will begin with the physical body and proceed inward. But, instead of normally concluding at the point of Soul contact, we will (speculatively) trace the journey of one near-death experiencer all the way back to the Monad. Our journey will finally end in “the bright center, lying far ahead,” amidst the Exalted Beings Who Dwell within the Radiant Halls of Shamballa. Hundreds of images of spiritual and visionary art will vibrantly illuminate our adventure. Robert Borel Robert holds a B. A. in English from the University of Texas at Austin and an M. A. in Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University. He compiled Death: The Great Adventure (Lucis Publishing Company, 1985), a compilation on death from the Alice Bailey books. In 1987, he worked closely with Michael Robbins, Mary Ann Casalino and other coworkers in founding the University of the Seven Rays. Robert was an original member of the Board of Trustees and the Religion faculty of the USR. His Initiation: Fire From Heaven, a 900-page compilation on initiation from the Bailey books is available on the Makara.us website. Kalachakra: High Way to Shamballa Since the 1970's the spiritual teaching of Tibetan Buddhism have flooded into the West. The highest of these teaching is known as Kalachakra. The Dalai Lama has lead over 30 Kalachakra initiation teachings in many cities around the world. Many of us have attended these and have experienced, at the least, a blessing. We study the teachings of the Master D.K. who in his last incarnation was a high ranking Tibetan Lama and was likely a Kalachakra master. The talk will outline how D. K. has, in his many books, presented the Kalachakra teachings for Western minds. The Kalachakra teachings come from Shamballa. D.K. repeatedly stated that the teaching on Shamballa was the most important of the newer truths. There is a six-foldness to the Kalachakra which resonate with the six stages of the Antahkarana meditation which D.K. outlined: a meditation which builds a bridge to Shamballa. Lawson Bracewell, MSW, Ph.D.E. Lawson Bracewell is the Director of Christ College of Trans-Himalayan Wisdom in Akaroa, New Zealand. This school is an expression of the New Zealand New School outlined by the Master D. K. in Letters on Occult Meditation. It will open its residential program in June, 2009. Lawson is a Board Member of the Seven Ray Institute and the University of the Seven Rays. Money at Our Service What is hindering preparation for the return of the Christ? Surprisingly, it is lack of money for the work! The Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul says lack of money for preparation for the return of the Christ is perhaps the major difficulty. He says this difficulty is so completely hindering that unless it is removed, there will be a long delay before Christ can return. So what can we do to help prepare the way? How can there be right use of money? Why are the rich getting richer, and the poor, poorer? Why are luxuries and extravagant living luring and ensnaring many people, while nearly 3 billion other people are living on $2 or less per day! Is money the root of all evil? No. It is how money is being used that is the problem. Money needs to be re-valued and used for Good, for a Higher Purpose, and the Will and Intention of Shamballa and the Christ in Service. We’ll look at how money can be redirected into channels that will definitely aid the Christ’s work. How can each of us help? Chanting: The
Art of Prayer Through Music
Pianist Lynne Haeseler is a versatile artist who has performed internationally and nationally as a soloist, accompanist and dance pianist. She has performed with major dance companies and festivals, theater groups and numerous instrumental and choral ensembles. Although trained as a classical concert pianist, the limitations of traditional classical piano recitals motivated Dr. Haeseler to create her own unconventional performances of classical music, such as metaformances, a term she coined to describe a new integrated art setting for solo piano performance. In 2005, she founded Sanctorum, a contemplative chanting choir which combines classical and improvisational music with the spiritual practice of chanting to join people together in contemplation and prayer. Inspired by the work of Brother Roger, who in 1940 founded the monastic community Taizé as a refuge for peace during World War II, it is Lynne's vision to use music to join people together in response to the turbulence of our own times. Drawing from his book, The Shamballa Impacts, Phillip will explore history, astrology and the cycles of Shamballa from the ancient Lemurian and Atlantean eras to the present Fifth Rootrace.
