A New Leadership Model:
Keepers of the Hearth, the Vestal Virgins of Today’s World

The Vestal Virgins were venerated priestesses of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth fire— guardians of the luck of Rome who could intervene on behalf of those in trouble. This talk will highlight modern day Vestal Virgins, women who have the ability to stand firm. The fire they light penetrates into the darkest places showing us how to ascend to the highest. We will re-tell the stories of women who are now the householders, creative ones and the truth seekers, who know that humanity is one--inter-related and interconnected. They seek to cultivate peace, foster a safer world and create a sane world based on community, compassion and principle. They demonstrate incredible valor. They point the way to a new revolution—a revolution of the mind as the old age passes and the seventh Ray finds channels for expression. Today, when the whole world is trembling and communities crumbling, women all over the globe are standing firm. This workshop will investigate, celebrate, and envision women’s roles in developing and creating the New Temple of Humanity.

Gail Dimitroff holds a PhD in Leadership and Human Behavior. She has lectured and given seminars on a global level. Now retired, she was Managing Director of Gail Dimitroff & Associates where she consulted and trained leadership teams in Change Management, Strategy Planning, & Process Improvement. A student of the Ancient Wisdom for almost 40 years and an astrologer, she and her husband, Tony, hold full moon meditations in the Native American Medicine Wheel on their property. A life-long advocate of women’s rights, Gail was most recently a delegate at the Conference, Operationalizing U.N. Resolution 1325, held at the Joan Croc Institute of Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. She is a former Chair of the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women.
