Keith Bailey

Keith Bailey has been primarily a musician and composer. He founded Fiery World Music in London in 1978, and then again in 1984 in NYC. In the late 1990's he founded the NYC based choral-group, the Gandharvas. Keith has been an active student of the Ageless Wisdom since the 1960's and has emerged as a teacher, writer and speaker in the esoteric-student circuit, writing and speaking on a diversity of esoteric topics. Robert Borel

Robert holds a B. A. in English from the University of Texas at Austin and an M. A. in Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University. He compiled Death: The Great Adventure (Lucis Publishing Company, 1985), a compilation on death from the Alice Bailey books. In 1987, he worked closely with Michael Robbins, Mary Ann Casalino and other coworkers in founding the University of the Seven Rays. Robert was an original member of the Board of Trustees and the Religion faculty of the USR.

His Initiation: Fire From Heaven, a 900-page compilation on initiation from the Bailey books is available on the Makara.us website.  Robert is currently transforming manuscripts on four integral aspects of the New World Religion (Death, Rebirth, Comparative Religion, and Initiation) into DVDs. He is a former Arcane School student and has taught the Ageless Wisdom for over 35 years.

Lawson Bracewell, MSW, Ph.D.E.

Lawson Bracewell is the Director of Christ College of Trans-Himalayan Wisdom in Akaroa, New Zealand. This school is an expression of the New Zealand New School outlined by the Master D. Sevenfold Typology - the Seven Rays Simplified as a Practical Approach

The teaching on the Seven Rays plays a crucial role in the esoteric communities inspired by the newer theosophy, Alice Bailey, Lucille Cedercrans and other sources. But it can be very difficult to make this teaching available to people not familiar with esoteric lore and intricacies. This lecture presents a new approach to the Seven Rays, unfolded as a Sevenfold Typology that can be embraced and used by anyone. It has evolved during many years of teaching. The Aquarian Era is being born from experiments and explorations we all make. Responses to the Sevenfold Typology experiment are encouraging and will be presented as one example of many that can be used for spreading the esoteric teaching in new ways to new people.

Authentic Group Spirituality - the Major Challenge of the 21st Century

Evolution is a gigantic wave, bringing to Humanity three major experiences:

1) the vast plains of mass consciousness
2) the valleys and summits of individual consciousness, and
3) the mostly uncharted territory of emerging group consciousness.

In this workshop we will explore questions about consciousness -- how has it been, how is it now, and what is the emerging nature of group consciousness? We are told by Master D.K. that group consciousness is the next step ahead and that it defines innovative spirituality today. What it is as well as how it differs from mass and individual consciousness will be discussed so that we may better take up the challenge of this century to manifest authentic group spirituality so needed by the world.

Soren Hauge

Søren Hauge has an M.A. in the History of Ideas & Philosophy from Aarhus University in Jutland, Denmark. The Three Great Laws of Health and Esoteric Healing

In this presentation Alan will look at some of the laws of esoteric healing and how they impact the three great laws of health. The Tibetan says there is a "true healer in the form" and Alan will talk about how this is tapped by using the esoteric healing technique of triangles as well as explaining what is the difference between the power of thought, the power of feeling and the power of the soul in healing work. Alan Hopking

Alan Hopking MA graduated from the School of Herbal Medicine (England, UK) as an herbal practitioner in 1981 and was accepted into membership with the oldest professional body of practicing herbalists in the world, the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK). In 1991 after two years of post-graduate training, Alan graduated from the London School of Chinese Herbal Medicine and was elected to Membership of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (UK). He has been in continuous practice as a professional herbal practitioner and healer since 1981. He has authored four books on healing.

Halina is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Seven Ray Institute and University of the Seven Rays and is the SRI/USR Conference Coordinator.  Halina holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, an M.S.E. (in Esoteric Philosophy) and is completing her dissertation for a D.Div.E. (Dr. of Divinity in Esoteric Philosophy).  Halina is a certified trainer in Holodynamics, an integrative psycho-spiritual approach to soul integration and whole person healing, utilizing visualization, invocation and the transformation of thought-forms.

The Coming Sixth Rootrace: the Triumph of Love-Wisdom on Earth

Seven rootraces occur in our planetary evolution. Currently we are moving from the Fifth Rootrace which has its highest expression in the development of the mind, to the Sixth Rootrace whose goal is the expression of the higher intuition. Counting esoterically, the Sixth Rootrace is the second and is deeply connected to the expression of that sorely needed human ingredient - the second ray of Love-Wisdom. The Sixth Rootrace will be anchored primarily in South America, in the area we now call Brazil. Brazil is the only nation given as a second ray personality and, indeed, all the Latin American nations are on the 2-4-6 Love-Wisdom line. The greater Aquarian cycle of 25,000 years will take Humanity into the Sixth Rootrace proper, preceded by the externalization of the planetary heart center, the Hierarchy of Enlightened Beings, or the Masters of Wisdom - and their leader, The Christ.

The Crop Circle Phenomenon

Crop circles have been appearing regularly since 1989, mainly in Britain but also many other parts of the world. Their size, geometrical precision and sophistication increase by the year. They are certainly not made by humans, except for the easy to spot fakes. From what source do they emanate and what is their purpose? For many there is a deep recognition of the archetypal patterns and symbols which crop circles convey; their scope and beauty inspire awe and tug at the inner consciousness. In this workshop, many beautiful images will be shown as we explore the messages they present for an awakening humanity.

Turning the Wheel of Meditation: the Yoga Sutras, Tantras and
Realization for Modern Humanity

These are unprecedented times. The soul of humanity is descending, daily
infusing the collective personality of the human kingdom. This has never
happened before in human history! Societal, economic, political, and
interrelational change in every nation is opening us to betterment and
genuine integrity. To work with this openness and manifest change, we must
acknowledge changes in our subtle bodies (chakras, nadis, and vehicles)
and in our meditative needs. Now at the turn of the millennium and the
dawn of a new astrological age, humanity is ready for new meditation

Sophia and the Rose of the World

The Eternal Feminine was revealed in ancient Egypt as Isis - the Cosmic Soul, in Ephesus as Artemis the Nurturer, in Eleusis as Demeter the Earth Mother, in Taoism as the Tao, the Mother of All, in Hinduism as Shakti the Divine Power, in Buddhism as Prajna Paramita or Perfect Wisdom, in Chinese Buddhism as Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, and in the tradition of ancient Israel (continued in the Russian Orthodox Church) as Sophia, Divine Wisdom. In this lecture we shall focus on the significance of Sophia as the cosmic soul, the archetype of the human soul, and as the bearer of a new culture known as the Rose of the World prophesied to arise in the future. In Sophia, East meets West, and a bridge is built between various spiritual traditions by the Eternal Feminine. The great German poet Goethe points to the Eternal Feminine as the guiding power of evolution:

The Significance of Hunab Ku and the Mayan Year 2012

To the Mayans, Hunab Ku was the supreme God, the Creator of the universe. Some fifteen hundred years ago ancient Mayan astronomers predicted that an alignment of the Earth, the Sun, and the center of our Galaxy would take place at the end of the present cycle of the Mayan Long Calendar on December 21, 2012. This day, according to the Mayans, will signify the end of a cycle and simultaneously the beginning of a new cycle for humanity. In this workshop we shall explore the mystery of Hunab Ku and the year 2012. From May 1, 2009 to December 21, 2012, the day of the Winter Solstice, is a period of less than three years and eight months, which is not long in terms of preparing ourselves for the changes taking place as we approach the great shift in consciousness predicted by the Mayans. Our endeavor in this workshop is to understand the deeper challenges of this time of transition so that we can consciously navigate our way through it and be prepared for the events to come whilst exploring these mysteries through immersing ourselves in Divine Wisdom known as Sophia, and through aligning ourselves with the Cosmic Christ.

Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824): Stigmatist and Clairvoyant - A Special Study

As with other dates in Christ’s life, Robert Powell was able to determine Jesus’ birth date from Anne Catherine Emmerich’s visions, as described in his book Chronicle of the Living Christ. Emmerich communicated the day of the week and the date in the Hebrew calendar of various events in the life of Christ. Mathematically, through probability theory, Robert and two other mathematicians investigated the dates she communicated. They discovered that the probability of these weekdays coinciding by chance with the right dates in the Hebrew calendar were 1:435 billion. One does not need to be a mathematician to see that it would have been impossible for Anne Catherine Emmerich to have simply made up the dates. In other words, her dates – and, by implication, her visions – are authentic. In this workshop Robert will share the extraordinary grace and blessing that has come into the world through Anne Catherine Emmerich, to whom Christ communicated. Her gift of seeing the past, present and future revealed in mystic visions was greater than that possessed by anyone else in history up to that time.

Robert Powell, PhD is an internationally known lecturer, author, eurythmist and movement therapist. He is founder of the Choreocosmos School of Cosmic and Sacred Dance, and co-founder of the Sophia Foundation of North America. He received his doctorate for his thesis on the History of the Zodiac, now available as a book from Sophia Academic Press, and he is on the adjunct faculty of Wisdom University. Preparing for Our Final Transition

We know that death is simply a transition from one state of consciousness to another; however, we seldom talk about how we prepare during the five to thirty years prior to transition so that the Soul gains the most from this incarnation. In this workshop, we will discuss the skills we need to develop, with a focus on two stages of work for disciples after the age of 65—the Transitional Phase and the Final Phase. Soul Expression in the Life

How much of soul do we actualize in our daily lives? In love and wisdom the soul works, steadfast and true to its intentions. Holosynthesis - An Integral Approach to Teaching the Wisdom

According to DK some of the approaches to the new esoteric schools will "refrain from all outer of esoteric and occult training, and yet convey the needed teaching. They will seek to relate the One, the Monad, to the personality." How could such advanced training be communicated and practiced today? Holosynthesis is an attempt to address this challenge. In a 'holomap' we will cover the four cardinal points of any advanced training: exploring Identity, expanding Manifestation, creating Autonomy and fostering Communion.

Approaches to Soul Development

This workshop will explore how we create a holosynthetic learning environment, including the three divine aspects in all processes of soul development. Holosynthesis works with the three principles of Identity (exploring growing states of higher consciousness), Inclusiveness (exploring expanding spheres of group consciousness), and Incarnation (exploring the magical and practical means to manifest what has been contacted. In order to facilitate these explorations, a holosynthetic approach also includes three core practices: Meditation (developing identity, group consciousness and creative expression), Mediation (developing group integration), and Manifestation (creating transformation and a growing service output). The workshop will present the details of the six core elements of Holosynthesis and facilitate a deeper group thinking around the issues.

Kenneth Sørensen

Kenneth Sørensen has an MA in Psychosynthesis from East University of London and is working through his company Kentaur Training and Publishing with Psychosynthesis in Denmark and Scandinavia. This includes a two-year training course in transpersonal psychology, leadership training, and publishing activities. He also works as a Psychosynthesis psychotherapist. He is a student of AAB's writings and has written and published two books on meditation and higher and lower psychism.

This year's conference title, Through the Pillars of Wisdom: Humanity's Quest for Light, Love and Live More Abundant, suggests the conscious pursuit of Wisdom — the Wisdom of the Ages. It is only as we learn to reconcile the great Pairs of Opposites that we may achieve the Light of Wisdom to liberate ourselves from our struggle with the contradictory forces inherent in human nature.

During our Pre-Conference Esoteric Astrology Workshop, we will focus on the pairs of opposites in our astrological charts—the zodiacal and planetary oppositions and squares, those so-called “difficult aspects” which present at once the dire challenges and the immense spiritual opportunities of our lives. We will utilize the sign Gemini (the sign most associated with the Pillars of Wisdom) to triangulate and thus reconcile the fundamental zodiacal oppositions in our astrological charts. On a planetary level we will learn to use Mercury for similar purposes. Our goal will be to emerge with a growing sense of integration and wholeness which can only arise when the many evident conflicts are understood from the Wisdom of the Soul/Spirit perspective. A truly integrated person is one who can step through the Pillars of Wisdom into the Light, Love and Power of Hierarchy. This is what we all seek to do, and we shall learn how to utilize Esoteric Astrology (the Astrology of the Soul) to make this possible.

New Esoteric Schools Day
April 28 (Tuesday)

Dear Friends of the Ageless Wisdom, We have entered an historical period when a number of pioneering efforts to plant the seeds for new esoteric schools are underway. In His Letters on Occult Meditation, the Tibetan prophesied the future emergence of fourteen esoteric schools of meditation — seven preparatory schools and seven advanced schools. Eventually almost every nation will have its esoteric school which will bring the energy of Hierarchy ever closer to human consciousness.

Some of today's students of esotericism are creating esoteric schools which seek to fulfill the Tibetan’s suggested comprehensive curriculum. Students around the world are now being given the opportunity to address themselves to this curriculum. During the New Esoteric Schools Day representatives from some of the newly emerging esoteric schools will be present to discuss their projects.

The project for which the University of the Seven Rays is specifically responsible is the Morya Federation, which is now an international on-line school with a five-year program based upon the Tibetan’s curriculum. Also present will be representatives from the Christ College of Trans-Himalayan Wisdom in Akaroa New Zealand, and members of the DK Academy in Northern and Central Europe. The new internet school known as the Dragons of Wisdom Academy, closely associated with the European effort, will also be represented.

Not only will we discuss these educational programs and your opportunities for pursuing meditation and study with them, we will also address the whole question of the purpose of these new esoteric schools and their role in the process of the Externalization of the Hierarchy and the birthing of the new Aquarian civilization.
